Pocket Neighborhoods are clustered groups of about 6 to 12 houses or apartments around a shared open space. Larger communities can have multiple pocket neighborhoods connected by walkways, and often include more significant commons buildings and gardens used by the whole group. The Pocket Neighborhood book illustrates and tells the story of many such communities. The online examples here show a range of site plans from a single cluster to entire neighborhoods, along with descriptions of the key Design Patterns underlying their form.
